The Animated Series' Showrunner Has Seen Your Second Season Bingo Cards — And She Has Positive Updates

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel launches on Prime Video soon, and audience theories has been rampant.

The first season presents a diverse group of characters living within Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds with songs detailing their conflicts, and establishes tense rivalries and angsty, affectionate connections that fuel audience devotion.

The fandom's stated hopes for the new season vary widely, but certain threads recur frequently: Will Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Obviously, I don't produce the show with fan service as the main goal," the creator stated recently. "However I feel like me being a devotee of the series means there's a lot of it just inherently. I also am eager for these things, and I want some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which produce the series.

That could imply viewers have to be patient for some of the major resolutions — but they may be surprised at how quickly season 2 progresses, and how much of what they're anticipating unfolds this season.

"I feel like people are going to get a lot out of it," the creator notes. "We get some firsts. I think we get some incredible reveals, some fascinating backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — particularly in the form of fan bingo cards.

"I've come across a few fans make a prediction grid about the new season," she says. "Obviously I can't post it, but I've already completed some of them, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on Prime Video on October 29.
